The wood for the pens came from an Elm tree, blown down at Drumnadrochit during the storms in 2006. The actual tree was about 175 years old. The wood was then carefully crafted into shape to make two types of pens: a fountain pen and a rollerball.
The fountain pen features a German made two-tone nib with an Iridium point, whilst the rollerball features a ceramic tipped Schmidt cartridge to ensure smooth effortless writing. Finished pen measures 11/16" diameter x 5.3/4" long.
These most elegant pens are offered with a rich 22k gold cap and barrel complemented with Rhodium plating. Rhodium is possibly nature's most brilliant and durable precious metal.
